Dallas ease to victory over Colorado Rapids
Dallas cruise to a 3-1 victory over Colorado Rapids to close in on Seattle Sounders at the top of the MLS Western Conference.

Dallas have moved to within two points of Seattle Sounders at the summit of the MLS Western Conference by beating Colorado Rapids 3-1 in Texas this morning.

The hosts started better of the sides and took the lead as early as the ninth minute, courtesy of a Matt Hedges strike.

It got better for the Texans just two minutes later as rookie Tesho Akindele earned a penalty, which Michel slotted to double their advantage.

Fabian Castillo put the result beyond doubt on 55 minutes, before Gabriel Torres bagged Colorado a consolation with an 88th-minute spot kick.
