Report: Crystal Palace keen to sign Michael Ciani

Crystal Palace will reportedly make a bid for Lazio defender Michael Ciani after missing out on signing Steven Caulker.

Crystal Palace have reportedly identified Michael Ciani as an alternative for Steven Caulker, after the Eagles missed out on signing the defender.

Tony Pulis's side had been keen to sign Caulker, but he elected to join their London rivals Queens Park Rangers instead, leaving Palace searching for another centre-back.

The Daily Mail reports that the club are planning an approach for the Lazio defender, who is thought to be available for £1.2m.

Ciani has made 41 appearances for the Serie A side since joining the club in 2012.
