Steve Parish: 'Crystal Palace made mistakes in transfer market'

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish admits that the club made mistakes in the transfer market last summer.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has conceded that the club did make mistakes in the transfer market last summer.

Parish and former manager Ian Holloway were busy prior to their return to the Premier League recruiting a large number of players, but he insists that they will adopt a different approach with Tony Pulis, who arrived at Selhurst Park in November.

"Obviously Ian had a different style to Tony and so he brought in players who brought a different style," Parish told the Croydon Advertiser.

"And in there, there were one or two mistakes, but they weren't mistakes at the time. Some players didn't settle or maybe some didn't see eye to eye when they first arrived, for example.

"I am really comfortable with last summer. I think we'll look at less options this summer because Tony has got a much clearer idea of what he wants."

Pulis guided Palace clear of the relegation zone to finish 11th last season.
