Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has revealed that the club are "working on" a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The France international has struggled to make his mark at the Ligue 1 giants since joining from Newcastle United last year.
That has led to intense speculation linking the 29-year-old with a move away from the Parc des Princes, with Roma reportedly the latest side to show an interest.
Palace were among those said to be keen on landing Cabaye, and Parish has confirmed to talkSPORT that the Eagles are indeed hopeful of winning the race.
"That's definitely one we would like to do," he said. "If we can, it will be massive for the club. He's a seasoned international. That's definitely one we're working on.
"For us to get into the top 10 in the Premier League, we have got make sure we are bringing in top-10 Premier League players."
Cabaye spent time working under current Palace boss Alan Pardew during his three years at St James' Park.
