Christian Benteke has revealed he had no interest in leaving Crystal Palace during the summer.
The Belgian international was out of contract at the end of last season, but he ultimately decided to put pen to paper on a new contract, extending his stay with the Eagles.
The 31-year-old joined the club in the summer of 2016 from Liverpool for a fee of £32m, and since that point, he has made 165 appearances, with his new deal keeping him with Palace until 2023.
"I had no interest in leaving because there was total trust on both sides. Now I have been in England for a long time, but I do not see my life after football here because I love Belgium," he told La Meuse.
Benteke has made 18 appearances in the Premier League this season under Patrick Vieira, scoring four goals in the process, with Crystal Palace currently sat 11th in the table.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they face West Ham United.
