Crystal Palace cruise past Supersport United in Cape Town Cup

First-half goals from Mile Jedinak, Lee Chung-Yong, Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell give Crystal Palace a comfortable pre-season win over Supersport United.

Crystal Palace advanced to the final of the Cape Town Cup pre-season tournament with a 4-0 victory over South African side Supersport United this evening.

All four goals arrived inside the opening 33 minutes as Palace sealed victory thanks to a dominant first-half display.

Captain Mile Jedinak broke the deadlock in the third minute by diverting Scott Dann's flick into the net, and it was two on the quarter-hour mark when Lee Chung-Yong pounced on a defensive lapse to slide home.

Jordon Mutch made it three with a dinked finish after dancing his way past a couple of challenges in the box before Fraizer Campbell tucked home the fourth.

New loan signing Patrick Bamford was introduced at half time, and he almost got on the scoresheet when he linked up with Yohan Cabaye.

Palace will face either Ajax or Sporting Lisbon in Sunday's final.
