Carl Jenkinson gave the Hammers a first-half lead, after Victor Moses picked out the onrushing right-back with a pinpoint pass, with the on-loan Arsenal defender managing to squeeze his shot under Wayne Hennessey.

However, West Ham's lead last only three minutes as Dwight Gayle was brought down in the visitor's area, giving the home side the chance to equalise from the penalty spot.

Yohan Cabaye did so on the second time of asking after having to retake the initial spot kick after Gayle was accused of encroaching.

However, the Eagles were dealt a blow shortly before the half-time whistle, as Gayle was given a second yellow card for a tackle of Cheikou Kouyate.

West Ham took advantage of having an extra man in the second 45 minutes, as Jenkinson's cross was met by the head of Sahko, but the striker could only direct his header onto the bar, with goalkeeper Hennessey completely beaten.

It was not until the 88th minute that Manuel Lanzini made the breakthrough for the Hammers as the attacker latched onto Andy Carroll's flick to smash the ball into the back of the net from six yards out.

Pardew's men collapsed and conceded a second shortly before the full-time whistle, with Payet chipping the the onrushing Hennessey to make it 3-1 for the visitors.

Slaven Bilic's side go third in the Premier League while the Eagles stay in sixth.
