Andrea Stramaccioni linked with Crystal Palace job

Crystal Palace are assessing former Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni as they search for a successor to Ian Holloway, according to a report.

Andrea Stramaccioni has been named as the latest candidate for the vacant managerial post at Crystal Palace.

The Eagles, who sit bottom of the Premier League, have been searching for a replacement for Ian Holloway since the 50-year-old left Selhurst Park by mutual consent last month.

Aitor Karanka was believed to be close to landing the job, but the former Real Madrid assistant has now taken over at Middlesbrough, while Dan Petrescu has also been tipped as a contender.

However, Sky Sport Italia report that Stramaccioni, who was sacked as manager of Inter Milan at the end of last season, is another target of the South London club.

The 37-year-old coach succeeded Claudio Ranieri as Nerazzurri boss in March of last year, but he lost his job after leading the team to ninth in his first full season in charge.
