Tony Pulis: 'I want to build something'

New Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis says that he is trying to build something at the club as they lost 1-0 to Norwich City in the Premier League.

New Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis has insisted that he is trying to build something at the club similar to what he did with his previous team Stoke City.

Pulis suffered defeat during his first game in charge on Saturday, as Palace lost 1-0 to Norwich City at Carrow Road.

"I know how tough it is going to be and have spoken to the directors for a few weeks now on the situation and they understand if I am going to stay here, then I want to build something and put something in place like I did at Stoke," Pulis told reporters after the game.

"What people don't realise is one of the toughest and important jobs is pre-season, and what you can put in place.

"Unfortunately for me and the football club, I have not been here, and that is no disrespect to anybody because we all have different ideas about the way to do things."

Palace are now bottom of the league following their loss to Chris Hughton's men.
