Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has claimed that his side can qualify for the Europa League if they continue to get good results in the first half of the Premier League season.
The Eagles found themselves in the upper echelons of the table at the end of August after three wins in four, including a 2-1 victory at champions Chelsea.
Ahead of Palace's fixture at Watford on Sunday, Pardew told reporters: "We've got a lot of pace in the team, which makes us dangerous away from home.
"I don't think anybody had six more difficult [opening] games than us and to take nine points is great. We're not getting carried away with our ambitions. We think we can challenge for a Europa League spot if we have a good first half of the season."
Palace finished 10th in the Premier League last season.
