Keith Millen unaware of new Crystal Palace manager's identity

Keith Millen admits that he is unaware whom Crystal Palace are close to appointing as their new permanent manager.

Crystal Palace interim boss Keith Millen has insisted that he is unaware who the next permanent manager of the club could be.

The 47-year-old took charge of the team following Ian Holloway's departure last month, but admitted last week that he did not expect to be in the hotseat for this long.

While Millen has claimed that he is in the dark over the new appointment, he has admitted that the club are in talks with a potential successor.

"I spoke to the chairman on Tuesday and saw the chief executive this morning," the Palace Twitter page quotes Millen as saying. "They are in discussions, but I don't know who with.

"It's a compliment to myself and the staff that the chairman hasn't felt rushed into a decision. It looks like maybe this could be my last game in charge. I'm not looking at that. I'm just focusing on the job in hand."

Widespread reports have claimed that former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is in discussions with the Premier League outfit.
