Dougie Freedman is pleased with his Crystal Palace side's late comeback victory over Coventry City.

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman was happy with his side's late comeback victory over Coventry City yesterday evening.

The visiting Sky Blues looked to be leaving Selhurst Park with all three points courtesy of Lukasz Jutkiewicz's 48th minute strike until Sean Scannell and Jermaine Easter scored a goal apiece in stoppage time for Palace.

The three points have lifted the Eagles up to fifth in the Championship table and the boss has revealed that he is keen to see the club's early season good form continue.

"It was a pleasing result and we kept on going until the end, which is what you have to do as a football player," Freedman said after the match.

"We want to get ourselves a better start than we had done over the last few years because we have been playing under pressure the last two seasons.

"You can't give these young players that kind of pressure so hopefully we can get some points on the board then I can get my teeth into how we play."

Next up for Palace is a trip to Hull City on Saturday, August 20.
