Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has revealed that he invited England rugby coach Eddie Jones to give a motivational talk to his players ahead of their final four matches of the season.
Palace are not yet mathematically safe from relegation, and after their three remaining Premier League matches they face Manchester United at Wembley in the FA Cup final after last weekend's win over Watford.
"We're still not mathematically safe in the Premier League, so we still have work to do, which is why I asked Eddie Jones to come in, and he had a few words with the team about complacency and about what teams do," PA quotes Pardew as saying.
"He's been involved in World Cups with other nations, a multi-cultural personality, someone who is engaging. If they can't take on board his comments then we're in trouble."
Up next for Palace is a trip to one of the teams below them in the table, Newcastle United, on Saturday.
