Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew hails "magnificent" performance

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says that his team put on a "magnificent" performance to reach the final of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has paid tribute to his players following Sunday's progression to the FA Cup final.

A 2-1 victory over Watford at Wembley secured Palace a spot in the 2016 FA Cup final, where they will meet Manchester United.

Pardew branded his team's performance "magnificent" and has said that Palace "are a pleasure to manage".

"I thought that the team was very focused today. It's only the seventh or eighth time I've managed to put that team on the pitch," Pardew told reporters.

"The team delivered the game plan to the letter. My team were magnificent today. There were some outstanding performances. They really are a pleasure to manage this group. They never lost their work rates on the training ground, there's never been a split."

Palace have made the final of the FA Cup for the first time since 1990, when they lost to Man United.
