Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew pays tribute to Leicester City

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew congratulates Leicester City on their Premier League success and hopes that his team can take inspiration ahead of the FA Cup final.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has congratulated Leicester City on their Premier League success.

The Foxes have produced one of the biggest shocks in the history of football by managing to secure the Premier League title this season after battling relegation last term.

Pardew has paid tribute to Claudio Ranieri's team and is hopeful that his side can take inspiration ahead of their FA Cup final against Manchester United on May 21.

"Leicester won it after 36 games, last year for 10 games they were in the best form. For near 50 games they've been best in the country. It's proof the underdog can do it. And it will give us a boost for the cup final," Pardew told reporters.

"Leicester have shattered the glass ceiling, and I thought it was impossible to break. They've gone and done it. Amazing. Football isn't all logic. It's almost like some stardust has fallen on LCFC - great for them. Let's hope it falls on us for the final."

Palace are in Premier League action at home to Stoke City this weekend.
