Eight players leave Coventry City

Coventry City release eight players following their survival in League One.

Coventry City have released eight players following manager Tony Mowbray's decision to sign a new deal with the club.

Mowbray, who joined the Sky Blues in March, penned a long-term extension at the Ricoh Arena on Monday.

Frank Nouble, Adam Barton, Andy Webster, Shaun Miller, Simeon Jackson, Al Bangura, Danny Pugh and Blair Turgott have all parted company with the League One outfit.

The club remain in talks with Ivor Lawton, Reda Johnson and Marcus Tudgay over new contracts.
