Michael Chopra scores a late winner to snatch a 3-2 victory for Ipswich at the Ricoh Arena.

Michael Chopra scored an injury-time winner to help Ipswich to a second consecutive win at the Ricoh this afternoon.

Coventry had taken a half-time lead but Chopra scored twice in the second period to ease Ipswich's relegation worries.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas picked up where he left off in midweek - where he scored two goals against West Ham - by putting the visitors ahead.

The former Arsenal man's volley from just inside the area was deflected past Joe Murphy into the bottom corner.

Coventry, who started the day rockbottom of the Championship, were soon level after Ipswich centre-back Tommy Smith handled in the area with Sammy Clingan dispatching the resulting spot kick.

Andy Thorn's men then took the lead just before the break, when Gary Deegan was found by Clive Platt and poked home to complete the turnaround.

Chopra restored parity after Lee Martin missed a penalty awarded when he was brought down by Richard Keogh. Murphy saved from 12 yards but Chopra was on hand to head home from close range.

Three points were secured for the Tractor Boys in the fifth minute of added time when Chopra headed home from close range from Andy Drury's centre.

Ipswich remain 19th despite the win, while the Sky Blues stay seven points away from safety.
