Danny Higginbotham rejuvenated after Chester move

Defender Danny Higginbotham reveals that he has 'rediscovered his love for football' after moving to Conference Premier side Chester FC.

Defender Danny Higginbotham has admitted that he endured a spell where he had fallen out of love with football.

Higginbotham has recently signed a deal with Conference Premier side Chester, and he has revealed that the move has left him feeling rejuvenated.

The 34-year-old told BBC Radio Merseyside: "I'm getting my love of football back.

"Last Saturday was the first time in a long time that I've had that feeling and it's something that I've missed."

Higginbotham has previously played for Stoke City and Sheffield United during his career.
