Promotion contenders Cheltenham Town moved into the playoff places in League Two with an efficient victory away at Bristol Rovers this evening.
Former Rovers striker Chris Zebroski made the breakthrough six minutes before half-time after following up his own shot to tuck home from inside the area.
Jermaine McGlashan came close to scoring a second for Cheltenham, when his drive went just wide of the left-hand post.
Town were nearly pegged back in injury time thanks to a late spell of Bristol pressure, and had Scott Brown to thank for the three points after his brilliant save from Matthew Lund with seconds left on the clock.
A disappointing defeat for Rovers means they are still searching for their first home victory of the season, continuing their worst start to a league season in over a decade.
