Tuesday's League One predictions including Charlton Athletic vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Charlton Athletic vs. Wigan Athletic.

Cheltenham vs. Carlisle (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Cheltenham Town will be bidding to give their League One survival hopes a boost when they welcome already-relegated Carlisle United to Whaddon Road on Tuesday night.

Carlisle's relegation back to League Two was confirmed on Saturday, having lost 2-0 at Northampton Town, and Cheltenham are also facing demotion to the fourth tier, currently sitting 22nd in the table.

We say: Cheltenham Town 1-0 Carlisle United

There is simply no downplaying the importance of this match for Cheltenham, and anything less than a victory will go down as a hugely disappointing result. We are expecting a tight game on Tuesday but are backing Cheltenham to navigate their way to an important three points.

Stevenage vs. Barnsley (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Stevenage will welcome Barnsley to Broadhall Way on Saturday for a key contest in the fight at the top end of the League One table.

The visitors currently sit fifth after 26 games with just a three-point lead over their visitors, who find themselves just outside the playoff places.

We say: Stevenage 1-1 Barnsley

The two sides have enjoyed similar first halves to the League One season, and while Barnsley boast more quality, the hosts have continuously punched above their weight this term and should at least be able to take a share of the spoils on home turf.

Blackpool vs. Fleetwood (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Blackpool will go head-to-head with local rivals Fleetwood Town in Tuesday's crucial League One encounter at Bloomfield Road.

The hosts are still hoping to achieve a playoff finish, while the Cod Army will be desperate to claim all three points to boost their dwindling survival hopes.

We say: Blackpool 3-1 Fleetwood Town

Blackpool have managed to avoid defeat in each of their last 10 home league games, and we think they will extend that run by claiming a relatively comfortable win over their relegation-threatened opponents.

Bristol Rovers vs. Reading (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Bristol Rovers will attempt to end a six-game winless run when they welcome Reading to the Memorial Stadium for Tuesday's League One contest.

The Royals, meanwhile, will be hoping to return to winning ways after taking just one point from their last two matches.

We say: Bristol Rovers 1-1 Reading

Bristol Rovers may have lost three of their last four matches, but we think they will do enough to take a point off a Reading side that tend to struggle on the road.

Charlton vs. Wigan (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Charlton Athletic will have the opportunity to extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches when they face Wigan Athletic in Tuesday's League One fixture.

In contrast to their hosts, the Latics are hoping to end a poor spell of form, having failed to win any of their last three matches.

We say: Charlton Athletic 2-1 Wigan Athletic

While Charlton are proving to be a tough team to beat, the Latics have lost each of their last three away games, and we think the hosts will take advantage of Wigan's away-day struggles to record a narrow victory.

Leyton Orient vs. Exeter (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Leyton Orient will have the chance to record a second straight win when they welcome Exeter City to Brisbane Road for Tuesday's League One contest.

Meanwhile, the Grecians will be looking to continue their fine run of form after putting together a six-game unbeaten run.

We say: Leyton Orient 1-2 Exeter City

The hosts may have enjoyed success at the weekend, but Exeter have won five of their last seven away matches, and we think they will produce another strong performance on the road to clinch all three points.
