Wolfsburg sign Kevin de Bruyne

Wolfsburg complete the signing of midfielder Kevin de Bruyne from Chelsea on a five-year contract.

Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old made just nine first-team appearances for the Blues, having joined from Genk for £6.7m in 2012.

De Bruyne's move to Wolfsburg will give him a second stint in Germany. He scored 10 goals in 33 Bundesliga games while on loan at Werder Bremen last season.

Chelsea confirmed De Bruyne's departure on their official Twitter feed.

De Bruyne, who has been capped 18 times at senior international level, has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Wolfsburg.
