Report: Chelsea consider £18m Nikola Maksimovic move

Chelsea are reportedly preparing an £18m move for Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic.

The Premier League outfit are widely expected to move for a new centre-back this summer, but have thus far been frustrated in their attempts to bring Juventus's Leonardo Bonucci to England.

According to The Mirror, head coach Antonio Conte has now switched his attention to Maksimovic and is confident that a bid of £18m would convince Torino to part with the 24-year-old.

Maksimovic, who joined Torino from Red Star Belgrade in 2013, has made 12 appearances for the Serbian national team. He is contracted to his Serie A club until the summer of 2018.
