Nicolas N'Koulou could stay at Marseille

Marseille defender Nicolas N'Koulou says that he could choose to stay at the club, despite being linked with Chelsea.

Marseille defender Nicolas N'Koulou has admitted that he could decide to remain with the club, despite rumoured interest from Chelsea.

The Premier League champions are reportedly lining up a bid for the 25-year-old Cameroon international, with Jose Mourinho said to be looking for defensive reinforcements.

N'Koulou has stated that he has not been distracted by speculation over his future at the Stade Velodrome.

"I cannot speak about the future, we have only played about 10 matches," talkSPORT quotes him as saying.

"I cannot think about it whilst I am on the pitch, whilst I am wearing this shirt. It is not necessarily easy, but this situation has happened.

"I cannot speak about it for the moment, due to the situation of my team. Extending? Everything is possible. The representatives have not spoken to me."

N'Koulu joined Marseille from AS Monaco in 2011.
