Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea summer spending is finished'

Jose Mourinho says that Chelsea's summer spending is over following the arrival of Filipe Luis.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that his club are not planning to sign any more players this summer.

The Blues completed the signing of Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid on Friday, to add to the previous arrivals of Cesc Fabregas, Mario Pasalic and Diego Costa.

They have also sold David Luiz and Demba Ba, while Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Samuel Eto'o have all been released.

"We finished the market today," BBC Sport quotes Mourinho as saying. "The transfer market closes August 31 and we close on July 19.

"My club did a fantastic job, not just because of what we bought, but because we did it in almost record time."

Chelsea have recently been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
