Lionel Messi wants to finish career at Barcelona

Lionel Messi says that he wants to finish his career at Barcelona following recent links with a move to the Premier League.

Lionel Messi has insisted that he will finish his career at Barcelona.

The Argentine talisman, who made his Barca debut in 2004 at the age of 17, has recently been linked with a switch to Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea.

However, speaking after he had won an unprecedented fifth Ballon d'Or title last night, the 28-year-old stressed that he had no intention of leaving Camp Nou.

"I've always said that I can't leave Barcelona. I want to finish my career at home and my home is Barcelona," he told reporters.

Messi has scored 430 goals from his 503 outings for the Catalans.
