Loic Remy: 'There is no reason for me to leave Chelsea'

Loic Remy insists that he wants to stay at Chelsea, but is "flattered" from interest from other Premier League clubs.

Loic Remy has claimed that "there is no reason" for him to leave Chelsea this summer, despite speculation linking him with a move elsewhere.

The Frenchman, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Queens Park Rangers last year, is believed to be wanted by West Ham United, Swansea City and Crystal Palace.

However, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is keen to keep hold of the forward, who has intentions to stay put.

"I am [flattered by the interest] but I never wanted to leave this club because I feel really good," The Mirror quotes Remy as saying. "Yes, of course I want to play more but I'm sure I can play more here.

"So that's my target and I just try to make it happen by working hard and show everybody and the manager that he can count on me. For me, my mind is here and I don't want to leave at the minute.

"For so many reasons I want to stay - because we won two trophies last season and because I'm sure that we're going to win more, so for me it is really exciting. I want to be a part of this project and there is no reason for me to leave now."

Remy scored seven Premier League goals in six starts last season.
