Arsenal keen on Joao Moutinho deal?

Arsenal are looking to sign AS Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing AS Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho.

Reports in Portugal have suggested that Monaco are looking to reduce their wage bill and will allow Moutinho to leave as a result.

The 28-year-old joined the Ligue 1 side from Porto for £18m in 2013.

Porto are said to be keen to bring the player back to Portugal, while Zenit St Petersburg have also been linked with a move.

According to The Express, Arsenal could take advantage of Moutinho's situation by making an approach to Monaco.

The report adds that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho might also be tempted by a swoop for the player.

Moutinho has scored six goals in 81 appearances for Monaco.
