Zat Knight: Gary Cahill will be a success at Chelsea

Zat Knight believes that Gary Cahill will become a success for Chelsea should he join in the transfer window.

Zat Knight believes that teammate Gary Cahill will be a success at Chelsea as his move to Stamford Bridge edges closer.

A fee of £7m has reportedly been agreed between Bolton and Chelsea, with personal terms still being discussed.

Defensive partner Knight has said that joining Andre Villas-Boas's side will bring out the best in the 26-year-old England international.

"When you play with top players it brings the best out of you," said Knight.

"He's shown in the last few seasons how good he is. Now if he's going to be playing week in, week out with John Terry and Ashley Cole then he'll get a lot more games with England, I'm sure.

"It looks like he's going to a fantastic club - but hopefully it doesn't happen just yet. Maybe it won't happen until the end of January."

Bolton's next game is away to Everton, with the club unsure whether Cahill will be available.
