Frank Lampard is reportedly keen on adding another striker to his Chelsea squad this month and is said to be pressurising the board to make funds available.
The Blues are currently fourth in the Premier League, despite managing just 12 wins from 24 matches.
According to The Sun, Edinson Cavani and Krzysztof Piatek are of interest to the London club as they seek to boost their goal scoring options.
Currently, Tammy Abraham is Chelsea's top scorer with 13 Premier League goals, while Christian Pulisic is second on five.
Both Cavani and Piatek have been out of favour with their respective clubs, but Cavani is reportedly close to joining Atletico Madrid.
AC Milan are said to be open to allowing Piatek to leave on loan this month, but the January window closes on Friday giving Chelsea limited time to make any deal happen.
