Everton 'offered Wilfried Bony as part of John Stones deal'

A report claims that Manchester City have offered Wilfried Bony to Everton as a £15m makeweight in a deal that could see John Stones move to the Etihad Stadium.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly ready to sell John Stones to Manchester City in a player-plus-cash deal that will see Wilfried Bony move the opposite way.

The 27-year-old striker will be used as a £15m makeweight to lure Stones, who is valued at around the £50m mark, to the Etihad Stadium.

Bony has spent 19 months at City since joining from Swansea City in a £28m move, but has failed to make any sort of impression with just six Premier League goals to his name.

According to The Sun, Ivory Coast international Bony has conceded that his time with the Citizens is likely to be coming to an end following the arrival of manager Pep Guardiola, and would therefore be open to joining Everton this summer.

It is claimed in the same report that the proposed move could have a knock-on effect for Chelsea, who will make a fresh bid for striker Romelu Lukaku once the Merseyside outfit have brought in Bony.
