Didier Drogba asks FIFA for loan move from Shanghai Shenhua

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba requests permission from FIFA to be sent on loan from Shanghai Shenhua out of the official transfer window.

Shanghai Shenhua striker Didier Drogba has asked for permission from FIFA to go out on loan this season.

The former Chelsea star has asked to leave the Chinese Super League outfit on a temporary basis, despite his request being outside of the official transfer window.

The world governing body said in a statement: "The FIFA administration services are looking into it."

The Ivory Coast international has been linked to Juventus, Liverpool and his former club Chelsea, who are currently searching for a new manager following the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo.
