Portland Timbers midfielder Diego Valeri has called on his former Porto teammate Radamel Falcao to join him in the MLS.
Falcao, 29, is still contracted to AS Monaco, but is currently on loan at Chelsea after failing to earn a permanent move to Manchester United last summer.
The Colombian has only scored once for the Blues this season, however, and has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge in January.
Valeri, who played with Falcao at Porto, has said that he would "love it" if his fellow South American decided to continue his career in North America.
"I would love it if he decided to join the MLS. I'm convinced, because of the relationship we have, that Falcao would like to live in America and test himself in the MLS," Valeri told reporters.
Valeri initially joined Portland on loan in January 2013, before making a permanent move in August of the same year.
