Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has insisted that Andrea Pirlo is not joining him at Stamford Bridge.
Speculation linking the experienced Italian with a move to Chelsea gathered pace after the 37-year-old was spotted at the Premier League club's training ground on Friday morning.
However, Conte, who worked with Pirlo at Juventus, has said that the midfielder is not looking to leave MLS outfit New York City FC, where he still has another year on his contract.
"Andrea came here only to visit and he has another year of contract in America. He is playing and enjoying his football in America. I'm pleased for this visit because Andrea was my player at Juventus for three years and we won together," Conte told reporters.
Pirlo, who has 116 Italian caps to his name, won four successive Serie A crowns with Juventus before making the switch to North America in 2015.
