Chelsea are reportedly willing to let out-of-favour forward Romelu Lukaku join Everton this summer, but only if they agree to offer Ross Barkley in return.
Lukaku has earned rave reviews since moving to Goodison Park on loan in the summer and, according to the Daily Star, Blues manager Jose Mourinho is keen to seal the swap deal that would see the Belgian international make a permanent move to Merseyside.
The Portuguese boss is said to have earmarked Barkley as a natural successor to Frank Lampard, who is believed to be heading MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of the season.
Everton are reportedly keen on retaining Barkley's services and have promised the youngster a new deal, although the contract has yet to be signed, which is why a possible move has been suggested.
