Talks between Chelsea and Spanish outfit Sevilla for the transfer of French centre-back Jules Kounde have reportedly fallen through.
Chelsea, who sold defender Kurt Zouma to West Ham United late in the transfer window for a fee in the reigon of £30m, were said to be looking for a new addition at the back.
Ongoing talks with Sevilla saw several bids rejected, as the two sides failed to agree on a price for the 22-year-old.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Frenchman will not be arriving in London on deadline day, as the clubs failed to come closer to agreeing on a fee in this summer's transfer window.
The Blues reportedly valued the French defender at £50m, while Sevilla have confirmed that the player will not depart for less than his release clause of around £70m.
