Chelsea ready to bid for Danny Rose?

Chelsea are reportedly keen to strengthen their defence with the signing of Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose.

Chelsea have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose before the end of the transfer window.

Rose was one of the star performers for Spurs last season as he secured his place as the team's first-choice left-back ahead of Ben Davies, who moved to White Hart Lane last summer.

However, The Mirror claims that his form has attracted the interest of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as the Premier League champions look to strengthen their defence.

Filipe Luis recently returned to Atletico Madrid after just one year at Stamford Bridge, which has left Chelsea light on options, and the report suggests that they would be willing to pay £15m for Rose.

Spurs signed Rose from Leeds United in 2007.
