Chelsea are reportedly prepared for Olivier Giroud to leave the club in the January transfer window, leaving them with just Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi up front.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared for Olivier Giroud to leave the club in the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old has fallen behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since Frank Lampard's arrival as manager, starting in the league this past Saturday for the first time since August.

While the Blues could still be under their transfer ban in the new year, the Daily Mail reports that Lampard is prepared to accept any appropriate offers for the Frenchman.

Giroud is believed to want an exit from the club as well as he looks to secure more regular first-team football in the run up to Euro 2020 next summer.

The former Arsenal striker has scored 19 goals in 70 games across all competitions since joining the West London club for £18m in January 2018.
