Chelsea place a £5m price tag on out-of-favour striker Olivier Giroud, according to a report.

Chelsea have reportedly slapped a £5m price tag on striker Olivier Giroud.

The 33-year-old has slipped behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following Frank Lampard's appointment as manager, making just six appearances for the Blues this season in all competitions.

The Daily Express now reports that Chelsea are prepared to sell the former Arsenal striker, who has scored three goals in his last four games for France, for as little as £5m when the transfer window reopens in January.

Giroud, who won the Ligue 1 title with Montpellier back in 2012, is being tracked by Nice, Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon in his native country, while Antonio Conte is believed to be eyeing a reunion at Inter Milan.

Vancouver Whitecaps have also sounded out Chelsea about picking up the striker in January, but it is thought that he would prefer to move to an American side if he were to make the switch to the MLS.
