Chelsea are linked with a £12m move for Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao.

Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao has been linked with a move to replace Ashley Cole at Chelsea.

The England left-back is out of contract at the end of the season and is reportedly ready to move on if he is not offered more than a one-year extension.

Meanwhile, Coentrao has made only five appearances this season and is believed to have fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho.

The Daily Star report that the Portuguese international is top of Chelsea's list of replacements for Cole, also stating that the Spanish giants are looking to recoup around £12m of the £20m they paid Benfica last summer.

Coentrao has won 28 caps for his country.
