Chelsea 'face decision over Mario Pasalic future'

Mario Pasalic's future is being discussed by Chelsea as he nears the end of his fifth loan spell away from the club, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly contemplating whether to give Mario Pasalic a chance in the first team next season or move him on instead.

The 25-year-old has yet to make a single competitive appearance for the Blues in six years with the club.

Pasalic has instead spent the past six seasons out on loan with five different clubs in five different countries, including the past two seasons with Atalanta BC.

However, the Croatia international's spell in Italy is close to coming to an end and it is uncertain whether Atalanta will take up the option to sign him permanently.

According to football.london, Chelsea now face a decision as to whether to finally give Pasalic a chance to prove himself.

Pasalic is under contract at Stamford Bridge for another two years, having signed his latest contract extension last summer.
