Chelsea are reportedly considering a summer move for Aston Villa defender Matt Targett.
The 24-year-old joined Villa from Southampton last July and has made 24 appearances for Dean Smith's side during the 2019-20 campaign, contributing two goals and two assists.
Chelsea are expected to be in the market for a new left-back during this summer's transfer window with both Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso being tipped to leave.
According to 90min, Targett 'has been discussed by scouts at Stamford Bridge' as a potential option to join the club ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The former England Under-21 international featured on 63 occasions for Southampton before arriving at Villa Park, while he has also previously represented Fulham on loan.
Frank Lampard's side, meanwhile, are also said to still be tracking Napoli's Dries Mertens.
