Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell emerges as a rumoured £50m summer target for Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Chelsea are looking to sign Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell ahead of next season, according to a report.

The Blues are believed to be in the market for a new left-back due to concerns over Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.

Palmieri has been tipped to return to Italy when the transfer window opens, which would leave Frank Lampard light of options in the troublesome position.

The Daily Mail claims that Chilwell is a possible target for Chelsea, but they face strong competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City.

Leicester are said to be holding out for around £50m for the England international, who has made 118 first-team appearances since being handed his debut in 2015.
