Chelsea confirm Andre Schurrle arrival

German international Andre Schurrle signs a five-year contract with Europa League winners Chelsea.

Chelsea have confirmed that they have completed the signing of Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen.

The two clubs reached an agreement over a fee for the 22-year-old just under a fortnight ago, but the attacker penned a five-year contract only this afternoon.

"I am so happy now I have signed and it is an honour for me to play for this club, with this team and for these great fans. I am really looking forward to it," he told the club's official website.

The German international, who scored 14 goals in 43 outings last season, will wear the number 14 shirt at Stamford Bridge.
