Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has refused to rule out the possibility of Diego Costa returning to the Spanish club.
The Chelsea frontman swapped the Vicente Calderon for Stamford Bridge in 2014, but recent reports have suggested that Costa has been hankering for a move back to the Spanish capital.
Asked about the speculation by RTVE, Cerezo provided a relatively cryptic response.
"Right now, Diego is a Chelsea player and he has to focus on Chelsea," he said.
"But you never know what will happen in football and sometimes players do return to their former clubs."
Costa, 27, scored both of Chelsea's goals in their 2-2 draw with Watford yesterday afternoon.
