Barcelona midfielder Alex Song has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, according to reports.
The 27-year-old is on a season-long loan at West Ham United, and had been widely tipped to make the move permanent in the summer.
However, the Hammers appear to have cooled their interest in the former Arsenal man, leaving Chelsea at the front of the queue for his signature, reports Spanish publication Sport.
Song, who has made 22 appearances for Sam Allardyce's side this season, is keen to remain in London.
