A report claims that Chelsea will not hold Maurizio Sarri against his will if Juventus make a formal approach for him this summer.

Juventus will reportedly be given a clear run at appointing Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea do not intend to stand in the Italian champions' way if an approach is made.

The Bianconeri are on the lookout for a new head coach as Massimiliano Allegri confirmed last week that he is to step aside this summer, bringing an end to his trophy-laden five-year spell in Turin.

Despite his first-season struggles at Stamford Bridge, having failed to truly win over supporters, Sarri has emerged as a rumoured leading contender to take charge of Juve.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea would not hold the 60-year-old against his will if he were to express a desire to succeed Allegri.

Juventus would supposedly have to pay up to £5m in compensation to take Sarri back to Serie A, however, a year on from leaving Napoli after guiding them to a runners-up finish.

Chelsea have one more match still to play this season - the Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29.
