RB Leipzig are in no position to allow manager Julian Nagelsmann to depart for Chelsea midway through the Bundesliga season, according to a report.

Chelsea will supposedly be forced to wait until the summer before having the chance to land RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann as their next manager.

Having overseen five defeats from the Blues' last eight Premier League matches, the pressure continues to mount on club legend Frank Lampard, whose team are now battling for a top-four spot just weeks after being tipped as title contenders.

The former England midfielder is now the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Premier League manager to face the axe, although Chelsea are supposedly against the idea of sacking him now and bringing in a short-term replacement for the remainder of the season.

Furthermore, Sky Sports News claim that Leipzig are in no position to allow Nagelsmann to depart as he looks to lead the club to Bundesliga glory.

However, the report adds that Leipzig already have the 33-year-old's potential replacement lined up in the form of Jesse Marsch - who currently manages Red Bull Salzburg - so a change of scenery for Nagelsmann in the summer could be on the cards.

Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and Thomas Tuchel - who was recently sacked from Paris Saint-Germain - are both said to be interested in the Stamford Bridge job as well.
