Chelsea captain John Terry will start his trial today on charges of alleged racial abuse towards Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.
The 31-year-old will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning to face a racially-aggravated public order offence, which is believed to have been committed during a West London derby at Loftus Road in October last year.
The England international has maintained his innocence throughout the claims but was subsequently stripped of the captaincy from the Three Lions.
If found guilty after the five-day trial, the centre-back could be hit with a maximum fine of £2,500.
