Daniel Sturridge: Chelsea must "knuckle down"

Daniel Sturridge calls for Chelsea to "knuckle down" and concentrate on winning some silverware.

Daniel Sturridge has called for Chelsea to "knuckle down" and concentrate on winning some silverware this season.

Off-field incidents have plagued the Blues this season, with the latest controversy coming from comments from David Luiz reportedly directed at veteran midfielder Frank Lampard.

"It's time for everyone to knuckle down, do their job and focus on winning games for Chelsea," Sturridge said. "Everybody talks, but what we say off the field is pointless because it's not going to change anything.

"You have to push yourself regardless of which manager you're playing for. You can never get complacent and think you're the best and should always be playing.

"At Chelsea, we've got to get some silverware this season and make sure we finish in the top four."

Chelsea are currently fifth in the Premier League with 46 points from 26 games.
