Report: John Terry must take pay-cut for new Chelsea contract

Chelsea captain John Terry must reportedly take a pay-cut to secure a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea defender John Terry will reportedly have to take a pay-cut to secure a new contract at the club.

The Blues captain is keen to tie down a fresh deal at Stamford Bridge, but with the club in no rush to begin talks, Terry would have to lower his wage demands to clinch the contract, according to the Daily Mail.

The former England skipper has been the reported target of Turkish side Galatasaray, who have become aware of the contract situation.

Terry will become a free agent at the end of the season if he is unable to sign a new agreement with the Blues.
